Mentor Training

Pre-registration is required! This workshop is intended for educators who hold a Professional Teachers license in Wisconsin and who seek to mentor Initial Educators. This training will fulfill the DPI requirement for being a trained mentor. Attendees will receive an overview of the mentoring process and explore the variety of ways that mentors support Initial Educators in the first years of teaching.

 

This workshop is available at no cost to Peer Review and Mentoring Grant Partners and PI-34 Educator Quality and Licensing Member Districts: Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan, Arcadia, Bangor, Blair-Taylor, Black River Falls, Cashton, Cochrane-Fountain City, De Soto, Hillsboro, Independence, La Farge, Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton, Royall, Sparta, Tomah, Viroqua, Westby, West Salem, Whitehall, Wonewoc-Center, and Diocese of La Crosse Catholic Schools: Sacred Heart School, Cashton; St. Charles School, Genoa; SS Peter and Paul School, Independence; Aquinas Catholic Schools, La Crosse; St. Patrick School, Sparta; St. Mary School, Tomah; and St. Boniface, Waumandee) Educators.  The charge for non-members is $150.

Lunch and materials are included.

 

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event. CESA #4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA #4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA #4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot. Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Other Helpful Hints: Room temperatures vary from one workshop location to another, so bring a jacket or sweater for maximum comfort.
