WeVideo - Video Editing

Video in the classroom means a lot more than movie day. This workshop will focus on acquiring the digital media skills necessary to incorporate video in education. Video is also an excellent way to reflect on your teaching practices and capture artifacts for educator effectiveness. Participants will work, hands-on, to capture a video, edit the video, and then host the video online for students and others to access.

We will be using the online program WeVideo to complete the editing portion of the workshop. CESA 5 Districts have access to a paid educational account to WeVideo. Please speak to your district's EE Coach regarding account access prior to this workshop. There is also a FREE 30 day trial of the Educational version if you would prefer to try it out first.

Participants should have a Google Account, bring a device to capture video (iPad, iPod, tablet) and a laptop for the editing portion. Access to YouTube is highly encouraged. 

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
